Every farm has a story, and every family carries its traditions forward in their own way. At AgVenture, we’re proud to be a family-owned seed company working alongside farms that share our same values. Families who, like us, are rooted in the land and committed to passing their legacy down through generations.
This summer, our team set out on the road for a series of field visits, cameras in hand, to capture the people and places behind the crops. What we found were moments of laughter, resilience, and family pride that reflect everything AgVenture stands for.
The Walters: Racing the Storms in Grand Ridge
In Grand Ridge, IL, the clouds were already gathering when we pulled into Walter Farms and Cattle. With storms brewing on the horizon, we raced against time to capture photos in their corn and soybean fields. The Walter family was right there with us, three generations strong and including their newest family member, for some wonderful photos.
Beyond capturing photos, we also spent time checking on the Walters’ fields where they test new management techniques. Each year, they set out to learn something new… whether it’s a change in fertility, planting practices, or crop protection strategies. Their mindset is simple but powerful: keep improving and keep striving for higher yields. It’s a philosophy that mirrors our own commitment at AgVenture to constant innovation and helping farmers get the most from every acre.
As thunder rolled closer, we wrapped up just in time. The storm hit, and we all gathered in the Walters’ shed, watching the rain pound the fields outside. Inside, the atmosphere was warm. Stories were shared, laughter echoed, and the storm only seemed to highlight the resilience that farming families know so well.
The Eckbergs: Fields and Flight Lessons in Princeton
When the skies cleared, we made our way to Princeton, IL, where the Eckberg family welcomed us. Out in their corn and soybean fields, the afternoon light was perfect for capturing both video and photos. Friends joined in as we talked about different hybrids, disease pressure and management programs.
The day’s highlight came later from a 5 year old’s excitement over the drone. He watched how it flew, eyes wide with excitement and even landed it all on his own. Watching his joy, we couldn’t help but think about the next generation of farmers and the bright future they represent.
The Seed House: Checking in on AgVenture Plots
Before the day was done, we stopped by The Seed House AgVenture plots. Here, we saw firsthand the performance of AgVenture products in the field. For us, it’s not just about seed. It’s about ensuring that every family we work with has access to the tools they need to succeed, season after season.
Family at the Heart of It All
From racing storms in Grand Ridge to drone flights in Princeton, one truth stood out: farming is about family. The Walter and Eckberg families reminded us of the very values we were built on. At AgVenture, we know that just like seed planted in good soil, the values of family, resilience, and dedication will grow strong and last for generations.
Because at the end of the day, we’re not just selling seed. We’re building family legacies.
